Australia boasts of its large aquarium with Sydney Aquarium. The facility is located in New South Wales. The aquarium houses a very large number of different Australian aquatic life. About 650 species. 6000 individual fish and other water creatures. Its major exhibits are a series of see through, under water glass tunnels. You can enjoy watching the sharks above you. Another is a recreation of the Great Barrier Reef coral environment. The aquarium was opened in 1988 in time for the country’s bicentenary celebration. It remains to be a favorite tourist attraction. This year they are planning to add a crocodile exhibit in the facility.
