Northern Territory
Posted in Information by: Kurt WildeAustralia’s Northern Territory is the most barren in the entire continent. Although its size is about 1.35 sq kilometers, only 1% of Australia’s population lives in the area. Nonetheless, it is a popular tourist destination with many interesting sights to see. From Darwin, a bustling cosmopolitan city in the North, take the Stuart Highway that leads to Alice Springs. The center of the Northern Territory is very arid with varying temperatures. It’s often best to visit it during the rainy season of October and March because because there’s far less dust and everything is greener, though the temperature and humidity is high. You can also find the Kakadu National Park, which is an oasis of wildlife, waterfalls, and aboriginal rock art. Also in the area is the Uluru-Kata Tjutu National Park, which is famous for its picturesque sunsets and sunrises.
