The late Steve Irwin, known as the Crocodile Hunter, co-owned the Australian Zoo with his wife Terri Irwin. Steve was an advocate of animal conservation and it has been proven with his Australian Zoo, since there are no other zoos like it. Some animals found in the zoo are by far, the most feared in the world (i.e. reptiles such as snakes, arachnids such as tarantulas, big mammals such as elephants and more!), but even though most people fear these animals, the Australian Zoo authorities are more than willing to inform the people about these animals. You can even touch them, play with them and feed them unlike any other zoos in the world.
